About

"For me, improving people's quality of life is a calling. I am passionate about what I do."

Carol offers online, telephone and face to face counselling in the Southern Highlands of NSW, a service which guides people through personal or psychological concerns using a trauma specialist approach. She acknowledges that repeating one's trauma history can increase distress and therefore she can work at addressing your symptoms without you having to retell your story.  Carol works to empower individuals through a safe, empathic, therapeutic and supportive environment. Carol is genuine, person-centred and non-judgmental, employing feminist values in order for people to achieve their goals with a focus on an improvement in their quality of life.

Carol acknowledges that face to face counselling can be daunting for some people and offers telephone and online counselling options.

Carol also offers people who work in the trauma field vicarious trauma management support. Carol incorporates reflective practice, psychoeducation on the effects second hand trauma has on workers and suggests evidence based strategies that can alleviate adverse symptoms.

Alongside her private practice, Carol is also a trainer and community educator with a long involvement in pro-feminist advocacy and education. Carol shares her specialist expertise through educational and consultancy services to groups and organisations. Carol has taught at tertiary institutions, presented at national conferences, delivered workshops at numerous workplaces and delivered policy advice to government organisations, non-government organisations and corporate companies throughout Australia.
